The Counts and Crosstabs tool can perform data analysis in a number of ways. You can analyze your entire list of Shared Contacts and the Voter File, or you can restrict your analysis to a specific segment of your contacts (e.g. members).
The tool has a number of features built in to make analysis easier, and to allow more advanced analysis to be performed in Microsoft Excel, or similar programs, if necessary.
