Your campaign will have to dispatch your drivers to the households that have requested rides.
This task is quite time consuming and will require a lot of organization,
so it is a best practice to appoint Ride Captains to manage some of your requested rides.
Once callers scheduled rides, they used scissors to cut each record on your printed report to
make each into a dispatch request. The Ride Captains can organize the dispatch requests
by date and time so that no appointments are missed.
A Ride Captain will hand a dispatch request to one of their drivers on the day of the scheduled
pick-up. The dispatch paper will direct your driver to the voter’s address and includes information
on the polling location that the voter needs to be brought to.
Ride Captains should always provide their drivers with a map of the riding or the region
they are responsible for. You can do this using Google maps. The dispatch request will provide
them with the name, address, and polling location for each individual.
Once a ride has been completed, the driver should return the dispatch paper indicating
that the ride request has been fulfilled or the reason that they were unable to complete the
ride request. Upon the return of this paper, please follow the final step to ensure that this
request is marked as completed in Liberalist.
