Understanding Liberalist as a Virtual Phone Bank canvasser

Your role as a Virtual Phone Bank Canvasser is to reach out to potential supporters and collect information to help your team. The Virtual Phone Bank (VPB) helps you and your campaign team canvass by combining your list with a script so your canvassers can make calls from anywhere with a computer and an Internet connection. When a canvasser makes calls from the Virtual Phone Bank, they receive the information about each individual that the administrator selected when creating the VPB. As the caller makes identifications, they can easily enter the data onto the VPB screen. When a canvasser passes to the next call, the information is instantly saved in the individual’s record. Any user can access a Virtual Phone Bank that has been assigned to them or by entering the VPB Code that is provided to them by the VPB administrator. Whether you are canvassing contacts under Shared Contacts or canvassing voters under My Voters, Liberalist is your tool to share information with your team and communicate effectively with people.

The materials you will need:

  • At least a Level 1 User account on Liberalist
  • A computer with dial up or high speed internet (Note: If you are using a dial up connection you cannot use the virtual phone bank and make phone calls at the same time unless using a second telephone line)
  • A Virtual Phone Bank assigned to you on Liberalist or a Virtual Phone Bank Code. (Note:  Assigning a Virtual Phone Bank or providing a Virtual Phone Bank code is the responsibility of your local Virtual Phone Bank Administrator. )
